JOHN CAVALHEIRO (BA Hons) graduated in Interior Design from the University of the Arts London, where he developed a refined understanding of space, proportion, and form.

Driven by a deep appreciation for design, form, and structure, John began his career working across a number of respected design practices before joining the studio of the internationally acclaimed landscape designer Luciano Giubbilei. During a successful ten-year tenure, the studio received numerous prestigious accolades, including three RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medals and a coveted ‘Best in Show’ award.

In 2012, John established his own practice, based between the UK and Portugal. The studio specialises in the design and delivery of beautifully crafted landscapes that combine timeless elegance with a deep understanding of place. Influenced by both interior and exterior architecture, the work is guided by a holistic design approach that seamlessly connects house, garden, and landscape.

With a quiet and sophisticated design language, the practice carefully balances contemporary and classical influences to create outdoor spaces that feel timeless, considered, and deeply connected to their surroundings. Each project is shaped by a strong emphasis on detail, materiality, and enduring beauty.
